LG Infringes 4 AU Optronics LCD Patents: Judge

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 6:08 PM ET) -- In a win for AU Optronics Corp., a federal judge has found that liquid crystal display industry rival LG Display Co. Ltd. has infringed four patents covering wide-ranging flat panel technology.

Judge Joseph J. Farnan Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Tuesday concluded the first phase of the sprawling intellectual property battle, favoring AU’s claims construction and ruling that that LG’s accused devices unlawfully incorporate technology covered by four key AU patents.
