ReNu Lens Solution MDL Slashed By 100s Of Suits

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 2:43 PM ET) -- A federal judge has dismissed nearly 350 lawsuits by plaintiffs who alleged Bausch & Lomb Inc.'s ReNu MoistureLoc contact lens solution caused them eye infections.

In an opinion issued Wednesday, Judge David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina said that the plaintiffs' claims against the company lacked any sort of evidence linking the solution to infections they suffered, tossing the cases from multidistrict litigation over ReNu.
