LG Gets Washer Patent Antitrust Claims Bifurcated

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 7:02 PM EST) -- A judge has granted LG Electronics Inc.'s bid to set aside the antitrust counterclaims brought by Daewoo Electronics Corp. and the other defendants in LG's washing machine patent enforcement action, deciding that they will be tried separately from the principal infringement claims.

Judge Joel A. Pisano in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday ordered discovery related to those counterclaims plus the defendants' inequitable conduct defense stayed until further order.
