Consumer Seeks Class Cert. In Kellogg's Krispies Spat

Law360, New York (February 19, 2010, 4:21 PM ET) -- A Californian has asked a federal judge to certify two classes of purchasers in a case accusing Kellogg Co. of adding misleading statements to the packaging for its Rice Krispies products that suggest they boost children's immune systems.

The motion for class certification, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, seeks separate classes for Californians who bought Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies and Rice Krispies for personal use from June 2009 through the date of certification.
