Commerce Wants Chinese Hand Truck Duty To Stick

Law360, New York (February 23, 2010, 2:46 PM ET) -- The U.S. government is seeking to keep in place a 227.73 percent dumping margin that it imposed on hand truck parts from Chinese company Qingdao Taifa Group Co. Ltd., whereas Taifa wants the rate lowered and a domestic producer wants the rate raised.

In court documents filed Friday with the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. took issue with Taifa's contention that the rate assigned was punitive, aberrational and uncorroborated, and

therefore could not be applied.
