Infineon Heads To ITC With Elpida Patent Fight

Law360, New York (February 22, 2010, 6:31 PM EST) -- Infineon Technologies North America Corp. has launched a battle against Elpida Memory Inc. alleging the company's dynamic random access memory products infringe Infineon patents.

In a complaint filed Friday with the U.S. International Trade Commission, Infineon accused Japan-based Elpida of engaging in unfair trade practices by importing into the U.S. DRAM semiconductors and products that infringe four of Infineon's patents. The patents in the complaint, which also names Elpida subsidiaries Rexchip Electronics Corp. and Elpida Memory USA Inc., cover inventions in semiconductor processing and device manufacturing....
