Triton Nabs Swedish Health Care Co. Ambea For $1.2B

Law360, New York (February 23, 2010, 2:02 PM EST) -- Private equity firm 3i Group PLC has announced plans to sell its 75 percent stake in Sweden-based health care group Ambea AB to investment firm Triton Partners for €850 million ($1.16 billion).

The deal, which remains subject to approval from European antitrust authorities, is expected to close in March, Ambea and 3i said in statements issued Tuesday.

Triton, with offices in Frankfurt, Stockholm and London, will also buy the Government of Singapore Investment Corp.'s 15.9 percent stake in Ambea, acquiring more than 90 percent of the...
