Fort Dix Role-Players Seek Class Status In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (February 23, 2010, 4:39 PM ET) -- Fort Dix-based workers who helped train U.S. Army National Guard members at the military base have asked a federal judge to certify a collective wage-and-hour suit that alleges they were shortchanged on overtime pay.

The plaintiffs — hired as so-called citizens-on-the-battlefield role players — filed a motion for collective certification on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on behalf of hundreds of employees at New Jersey-based Fort Dix who have worked for independent contractors Goldbelt Falcon LLC, Goldbelt Eagle LLC...
