Allegra Suits Dropped After Sandoz Amends ANDAs

Law360, New York (February 23, 2010, 3:24 PM ET) -- Aventis Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Albany Molecular Research Inc. have dropped six patent infringement suits against Sandoz Inc. over the allergy drug Allegra, following Sandoz's amendment of two abbreviated new drug applications to seek approval for generic versions only after the applicable patents expire.

Judge Joseph A. Greenaway Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey signed off Feb. 18 on a stipulation of dismissal regarding the cases.
