LCD Patent Suit Withstands Sharp's Bid To Dismiss

Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 1:19 PM ET) -- A federal judge has denied Sharp Corp.'s motion for summary judgment in a dispute with Advanced Technology Incubator Inc. over two patents related to color filters on LCD screens, paving the way for the case to go to trial.

Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled Wednesday there was a genuine issue of material fact on whether Sharp had infringed five claims in the two Advanced Technology patents.
