Coke To Absorb Its North American Bottling Business

Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 2:52 PM ET) -- The Coca-Cola Co. has announced it will absorb the North American business of bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. in a largely cashless transaction — a move similar to a deal approved by PepsiCo Inc. shareholders earlier this month — and hand over its European operations to the bottler for $822 million.
