Hollister Worker Says She Was Fired For Wearing Hijab
Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 6:43 PM ET) -- A complaint against Abercrombie & Fitch Co. filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleges the clothing retailer fired a female employee for wearing her Islamic headscarf.
The complaint was filed Tuesday by the Council on American-Islamic Relations on behalf of the woman, who worked in a San Mateo, Calif., Hollister store, according to a statement by the civil liberties group. Hollister is a division of Abercrombie.
A similar complaint filed by CAIR against Abercrombie prompted the EEOC to sue the company in the U.S....
