Amazon Slammed With Patent Suit Over Book Search

Law360, New York (February 26, 2010, 5:13 PM EST) -- Texas OCR Technologies LLC on Friday accused Amazon.com Inc. of infringing a patent for displaying online search results, targeting a feature on the media retailer's Web site that allows users to search within books.

Texas OCR filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, naming Amazon and its Web services unit Amazon Services LLC as defendants.
