Lateral Market Stays Hot As Winter Wears On

Law360, New York (March 01, 2010, 4:35 PM ET) -- Lateral movement in the legal industry continued to rise in February, with Allen & Overy LLP picking up more than a dozen partners from Clayton Utz, and Latham & Watkins LLP and Haynes and Boone LLP also showing significant gains.

The number of lateral moves rose 15 percent between January and February, with 198 partners, of counsel and special counsel switching firms last month, compared with 172 in the first month of the year, according to data Law360 compiled from law firm news releases.
