Court OKs Ex-McKesson HBOC GC's Deal With SEC

Law360, New York (March 01, 2010, 6:16 PM ET) -- The judge overseeing the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's case against former McKesson HBOC Inc. general counsel Jay Lapine — who found himself in authorities' cross-hairs in the wake of a $9 billion accounting scandal — has signed off on a settlement that calls for Lapine to cough up a $60,000 civil penalty.

Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off on a final judgment in the case on Monday. Lapine didn't admit or deny the SEC's allegations...
