Schumer Urges EPA To Act Quickly On BPA

Law360, New York (March 3, 2010, 4:58 PM EST) -- Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., has asked the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency not to delay regulatory action on bisphenol A, saying the public needs immediate safeguards against the controversial chemical.

“I strongly believe our government should err on the side of caution and deploy the most safeguards possible against the potentially harmful effects of BPA,” Schumer wrote Tuesday in a letter to EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson.
