UN Immune From Sex Bias, Retaliation Suit: 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (March 3, 2010, 5:29 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a lower court's ruling that the United Nations and former organization officials, including former Secretary-General Kofi Annan, are immune from a sex discrimination and retaliation suit filed in U.S. court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Tuesday also rejected arguments that the grant of immunity violated the U.S. Constitution.
