Pacific Rim Wants Out Of $6M Oil Rig Liability Suit

Law360, New York (March 4, 2010, 4:59 PM EST) -- Pacific Rim Engineered Products Ltd. has asked to be let off the hook in a suit alleging it and other firms built faulty oil rig equipment that caused over $6 million in damages to Xtreme Coil Drilling Corp.

Xtreme cannot establish that PREP actually caused the alleged damage, the manufacturer argued on Wednesday as it sought to be released from the case currently unfolding in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

The rig operator does not have any expert witnesses designated to testify...
