Best Buy, Garmin Settle In Traffic Alert Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 05, 2010, 12:57 PM ET) -- Best Buy Stores LP and GPS device manufacturer Garmin International Inc. have become the latest defendants to settle an infringement suit brought by Traffic Information LLC over three mobile traffic alert patents.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed off Wednesday on Traffic Information’s motion to dismiss Garmin, the same day the plaintiff filed a joint motion with Best Buy stating that they had settled all claims between them.
