Google Asserts Contract Claim In AdWords Dispute

Law360, New York (March 05, 2010, 5:21 PM ET) -- Google Inc. has accused one of its advertisers of breach of contract for initially filing suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, rather than in California, over the search giant’s purported practice of charging for ads on unused or otherwise little-seen Web sites.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Google filed an answer to a class action and a counterclaim against JIT Packaging Inc. on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
