E. Coli Fears Prompt Review Of USDA Beef Policy

Law360, New York (March 8, 2010, 5:33 PM EST) -- Amid growing concerns about the safety of food products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is reviewing its identification and enforcement procedures for E. coli-tainted raw beef.

Following the receipt of public comments and guidance from President Barack Obama's Food Safety Working Group, the FSIS will hear from consumer and meat processing groups critical of its testing practices at a public meeting Wednesday in Washington.
