Olin Not Liable For Paper Mill Cleanup: 4th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 08, 2010, 6:46 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a lower court ruling freeing specialty chemical company Olin Corp. from liability for environmental contamination at a former paper mill it sold to P.H. Glatfelter Co.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled Friday that Olin had not misrepresented the extent of contamination at the site when it sold the mill to Glatfelter in 1987.
