Charter, Verizon Resolve Fiber Optics Patent War

Law360, New York (March 09, 2010, 2:26 PM ET) -- Charter Communications Inc. and rival telecom giant Verizon Communications Inc. have agreed to bury the hatchet and end three patent lawsuits over fiber-optic network technology.

Charter, which won confirmation of its Chapter 11 reorganization plan in November, filed joint stipulations of dismissal without prejudice on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, roughly a month after the judge lifted...
