BA, AA Offer Up Routes To Remedy Antitrust Fears

Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 6:08 PM EST) -- British Airways PLC, American Airlines Inc. and Iberia SA have offered to lease out certain trans-Atlantic flight slots to competitors in an effort to secure European Commission approval of their proposed Oneworld Alliance and allay fears that the alliance could hurt competition on trans-Atlantic routes.

The airlines' leasing commitment would allow competitors at either London Heathrow or London Gatwick to lease two daily takeoff and landing slots on London-Boston and London-New York routes, as well as one daily slot on London-Dallas-Ft. Worth and London-Miami routes....
