DTS Settles Trademark Suit Vs. Mintek Over DVD Labeling

Law360, New York (June 03, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Audio technology company Digital Theater Systems (DTS) has settled its trademark lawsuit against an electronics maker that put the DTS mark on its DVD players without authorization.

Last month, Judge Cormac J. Carney of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted partial summary judgment in favor of DTS, finding Mintek Digital Inc. liable for trademark infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, and unfair competition, according to DTS.
