Iran's Mahan Airways Again Denied Export Rights

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 6:04 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has once again extended an order denying export privileges to Mahan Airways because the Iranian airline exported American-made planes without government authorization and has continued to fly them to and from Tehran.

David W. Mills, assistant secretary of commerce for export enforcement, issued the fourth 180-day extension of the temporary denial order on Tuesday based on evidence that Mahan had a "clear willingness to continue to disregard U.S. export controls" and the previous denial orders.
