Microsoft Denied Willfulness Rehearing In I4i Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 7:24 PM EST) -- In a suit brought by i4i LP over a document formatting patent, a federal appeals court has denied Microsoft Corp.'s bid for a rehearing on the issue of willful infringement, which contributed about $40 million in enhanced damages to a landmark $290 million award to the plaintiff.
