Ex-Collegiate Stars Line Up To Fight NCAA Rules

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 5:48 PM EST) -- A new batch of former student-athletes has joined a putative class action that accuses The National Collegiate Athletic Association, The Collegiate Licensing Co. and Electronic Arts Inc. of antitrust and right of publicity violations.

The former players, including a handful who participated in some of the NCAA's most memorable games, aligned with former college basketball star Ed O'Bannon Jr. and other incumbents as class representatives on Wednesday, according to an amended complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
