Teva Sues Mylan Over Seasonique ANDA

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 5:07 PM ET) -- Teva Women’s Health Inc. has filed a patent infringement suit seeking to block Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Famy Care Ltd. from selling a generic version of Seasonique, an oral contraceptive that allows women to have only four periods a year.

Israel-based Teva filed a complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, after being notified that Mylan had submitted an abbreviated new drug application to market generic Seasonique on behalf of contraceptive maker Famy Care.
