AT&T, Home Depot Sued Over Ethernet Patents

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 3:00 PM EST) -- AT&T Inc., Barnes & Noble Inc., Home Depot USA Inc. and several other retailers have been accused of infringing four Ethernet technology patents that U.S. Ethernet Innovations LLC purchased from networking giant 3Com Corp.

Ethernet Innovations filed its complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging the defendants have willfully used or imported technology claimed by the four patents-in-suit.

Accessories retailer Claire’s Stores Inc., J.C. Penney Co. and cosmetics retailer Sally Beauty Holdings Inc. are also named defendants.
