Michael Best Ex-Partner To Help IP Owners Cash In

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 3:41 PM ET) -- A former partner at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP has launched MioTek LLC, a law firm devoted to helping clients assess and capitalize on their intellectual property in the ever-expanding marketplace for patents and other intangible assets.

The Shorewood, Wisc.-based firm opened its doors March 1, offering to assist clients in “mining” their existing patent portfolios with an eye toward raking in revenues, as well as structuring deals to sell or license their marketable IP, the firm's founder, Joe Miotke, said Friday.
