EEOC's $2M Deal With Les Schwab Approved

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 1:00 PM EST) -- A judge has approved a $2 million settlement in a gender-based hiring discrimination case brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Les Schwab Tire Warehouse Inc.

Judge Ricardo S. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington approved on Wednesday a consent decree in the case. The agreement between the commission and Les Schwab calls for the company to maintain anti-discrimination policies and procedures and to conduct anti-discrimination training for all of its managers, assistant managers and employees.
