Intel Wants Derivative Suit Over Antitrust Claims Axed

Law360, New York (March 15, 2010, 6:42 PM EDT) -- Intel Corp. and current and former company board members are seeking to dismiss a shareholder derivative suit claiming they failed to stop anti-competitive business practices that led to billions in fines and settlements.

Intel, a nominal defendant, and 12 individual defendants filed the motion to dismiss Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, arguing that the plaintiffs have failed to show that the board wrongfully rejected demands to investigate and take action on the alleged antitrust violations.
