Sprint Strikes Deal In Traffic Alert Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 2:34 PM ET) -- Sprint Solutions Inc. on Tuesday became the latest defendant to settle in a patent infringement suit by Texas patent-holding company Traffic Information LLC that has ensnared several big cell phone companies.

Judge T. John Ward of the the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ordered the dismissal of the suit, which concerns patents for a traffic alert system that communicates with cell phones.
