Sens. Propose Easing Rules On Trade With Cuba

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 2:40 PM EDT) -- Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., have proposed legislation that would ease restrictions on U.S. agricultural trade to Cuba and end a ban on American travel to the island.

The Travel Restriction Reform and Export Enhancement Act, introduced Monday, would lift current requirements on payments for agriculture exports.

The legislation is a companion to the U.S. House of Representatives' H.R.4645, which is sponsored by Rep. Collin Peterson, D-Minn.
