K&L Gates Cuts Select Boston Associates' Pay

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 7:47 PM ET) -- In a move that could strain relations at K&L Gates LLP, the firm has reportedly slashed the salaries of associates in its Boston office while keeping intact the $160,000 starting salary for associates who began there in January.

The firm hacked salaries of Boston associates by 10 percent if they did not clock in at least 1,950 billable hours last year, sources told legal blog Above The Law on Tuesday.
