Calif. Inks $1.2M Deal With Rite Aid, Others

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 3:54 PM ET) -- A federal judge has approved a $1.25 million settlement that ends allegations from the California attorney general that Pro's Choice Beauty Care Inc., Rite Aid Corp., Target Corp. and others sold “pollution-causing” hair products that exacerbate respiratory illness.

Judge Hurl W. Johnson of the Stanislaus County Superior Court in California signed off Tuesday on a deal between the state of California and Pro's Choice that requires the company to stop selling or distributing products that violate the limits of volatile organic compounds.
