German Grocery Cos. Face Suits Over MPEG-2 Patents

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 6:24 PM EDT) -- Several patent holders in MPEG LA LLC's portfolio license sued Aldi International and Lidl International on Tuesday, alleging that units of the German discount grocery chains infringe 13 patents related to the MPEG-2 digital video compression standard.
