Bruker Unit Escapes Magnetic Resonance IP Suit

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 12:37 PM ET) -- A federal judge has agreed to dismiss scientific instrument manufacturer Bruker Corp.'s German unit from a patent infringement suit brought by the Research Foundation of State University of New York over nuclear magnetic resonance devices and software.

Judge Lawrence E. Kahn of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on Monday dismissed Bruker BioSpin GmbH from the case, agreeing with the German unit's argument that the court lacks jurisdiction over it.
