Amacore Directors Dropped From $14M Merger Spat

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 1:50 PM EDT) -- Two directors of Amacore Group Inc., which sells discount health plans, and the directors' financial advising firm have been dismissed from a lawsuit over Amacore's $14 million acquisition of fellow health plan provider LifeGuard Benefit Services Inc.

Judge James Moody Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida dismissed the eight claims levied against Shad Stastney, Chris Phillips and VICIS Capital LLC — the financial adviser firm — on Monday. Claims against Amacore and other company executives remain.
