US, India Pen Trade, Investment Pact

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 5:30 PM EDT) -- Trade representatives from the United States and India have agreed on a framework for cooperation on trade and investment in a bid to strengthen bilateral cooperation and build on the recent boom in trade between the two countries.

The deal, signed Wednesday by U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma, comes as part of a broader commitment to cooperation between President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
