No Quick Trial In Airgas, Air Products Takeover Spat

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 7:18 PM ET) -- A Delaware judge has refused to expedite a trial in Air Products and Chemicals Inc.'s tiff with the directors of rival Airgas Inc., whom Air Products sued for rebuffing its hostile takeover bid, saying the issue is developing outside the courtroom.

“A trial in 90 days in these cases is not necessary given the fluid nature of the situation,” Chancellor William B. Chandler of the Delaware Chancery Court said in a letter sent to the attorneys Wednesday.
