Class Certification Denied In Rolls-Royce Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 2:14 PM ET) -- A putative pay discrimination class action against Rolls-Royce Corp. has run out of gas, now that a federal judge has rejected a request to certify a class that could have included more than 500 women.

Judge Sarah Evans Barker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana denied Sally Randall and Rona Pepmeier's motion for class certification in an order issued March 12. Judge Barker also denied motions from both sides seeking to strike the opposition's expert.
