SEC Looking Into TheStreet.com's Financials

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 5:33 PM EDT) -- Financial media outlet TheStreet.com Inc. has requested an extension to prepare 2009 financial statements in light of an investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission into certain of the company's methods of recording revenue.

The company, chaired by TV money guru Jim Cramer, made the request in a Form 12b-25 filing with the SEC, saying it needed more time to give adequate attention to the questions raised in the probe.
