Waterloo Tries To Nix ITC Ruling In Keyboard IP Spat

Law360, New York (March 19, 2010, 3:21 PM ET) -- CompX International Inc. unit Waterloo Furniture Components Ltd. has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to overturn a preliminary finding that Waterloo infringed a Humanscale Corp. keyboard support patent, while Humanscale has asked the ITC to widen the finding to include more Waterloo products.

The staff of the ITC's own Office of Unfair Important Investigations has also filed a petition for review siding with Waterloo. Confidential versions of all three petitions for review were filed earlier in March, and public versions were filed Thursday.
