ITC Launches Probe Over Infineon DRAM Patents

Law360, New York (March 23, 2010, 3:25 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has opened an investigation into Infineon Technologies AG's allegations that Elpida Memory Inc. and a slew of other technology companies have infringed its dynamic random access memory patents.

The ITC said Tuesday that it had voted to launch the formal probe of DRAM semiconductors and other products using the technology, including memory modules, pursuant to Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
