Philips Units Sue To Protect LED Patents

Law360, New York (March 25, 2010, 12:04 PM EDT) -- Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV has filed a lawsuit against Pixelrange Inc. and James Thomas Engineering Ltd. alleging the companies are infringing six patents covering a light-emitting diode system.

Philips and Philips Solid-State Lighting Solutions Inc. filed the complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts alleging the defendants' PixelMax, PixelPar, PixelLine, PixelBrick, and PixelArc product lines infringe U.S. Patent Numbers 6,250,774; 6,016,038; 6,150,774; 6,806,659; 6,788,011 and 6,975,079.
