Verimatrix Licenses Widevine Data Encryption Patents

Law360, New York (March 26, 2010, 12:36 PM EDT) -- Widevine Technologies Inc. and Verimatrix Inc. have set aside their differences in a lawsuit over two patents related to a data encryption method, with Widevine granting Verimatrix a license to the technology.

Judge Randall R. Rader of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed off Tuesday on an order dismissing the case with prejudice. Each side agreed to pay its own costs and attorneys' fees.
