MySpace, Others Win Bid To Toss Software IP Suit

Law360, New York (March 30, 2010, 2:58 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit accusing MySpace Inc., Inc., AOL LLC and Yahoo Inc. of infringing a patent for software that removes expired data from information storage systems.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday granted the defendants' motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim, and gave plaintiff Bedrock Computer Technologies LLC 15 days to amend its complaint.
