PPG Adds Rival Mil-Spec To Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 3:04 PM EDT) -- Paint and finishing manufacturer PPG Industries Inc. has added rival Mil-Spec Coatings & Supply LLC to a list of individual defendants accused of competing unfairly by stealing trade secrets and breaching noncompete agreements.

Pennsylvania-based PPG lodged an amended complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee accusing Mil-Spec of tortious interference with a contract by hiring ex-PPG employees despite knowing they signed noncompete agreements barring them from joining a competitor.
